Building strong foundations through trust and communication

Our Story

Two men standing near a swimming pool in the backyard of a white house, which features a balcony and an outdoor dining area.

With over 25 years of experience as qualified builders, friends Matt Osborne and Ryan Towner realised that when they worked together on a project, magic ensued.

This dynamic duo had an ease and affect that when combined, produced scrupulous results and a harmonious working environment that they knew was a rare phenomenon in the Construction industry. Both brilliant communicators who highly respect each other, Matt and Ryan knew a good opportunity when they saw it, and thus, Oztown Constructions was born in 2017.

Our Process

Your renovation or new build journey begins once we receive your project enquiry form submission. This gives an initial understanding of your project scope and budget, and helps us determine how best to support you.

Our directors will contact you have an initial phone consultation to discuss your potential project.

At this stage, clients typically fall into one of two categories:

  • Scenario A: You don’t yet have design and/or engineering plans, but have a clear vision. In this case, our directors can connect you with designer and/or engineer best suited to your project. We will collaborate closely with them and with you to ensure your goals are well understood and achievable. Design and/or engineering plans are essential before moving forward to Step 2.

  • Scenario B: You already have your design and/or engineering documentation. We will review your submission and schedule a consultation to discuss next steps.

Project Enquiry and Assessment

Client Consultation & Preliminary Probable Costing

At this stage, we dive deeper into your project through a comprehensive consultation and in-depth evaluation of your plans. Whether you are just beginning with newly developed plans or have complete documentation in hand, we evaluate the feasibility of your renovation or build based on your goals, budget and site conditions, and can provide you with a preliminary probable costing to help ensure you project aligns with your budget.

During this phase:

  • We discuss your ideas and vision in detail to ensure we fully understand your expectations.

  • Our team will assess your plans and highlight any signification considerations or constraints that may impact design, cost or timeline.

  • We provide constructive suggestions and solutions where needed to help refine your concept.

  • A preliminary probable costing is provided based on your available documentation, helping to assess whether your project aligns with your budget.

This step ensures that both yourself and our team are aligned before proceeding to a formal itemised proposal in Step 3.

Itemised Proposal

The itemised proposal (or quotation) includes a detailed breakdown of the scope of works and inclusions. During this process we will work in collaboration with our trusted trades and suppliers to obtain and deliver quotes for each component of your renovation or build, to provide an accurate figure.

Further surveying and site investigations are required during this stage to establish the extent of what the project will entail and rule out any known complications. Our proposals take approximately 4 weeks to compile.

Once the itemised proposal has been completed, we will arrange a meeting with you to discuss the proposal and any relevant amendments.

Once you are satisfied with all relevant amendments and the proposal has been finalised, we will proceed to the contract stage. This step confirms the scope of work, costings, and agreed inclusions, giving you clarity and confidence moving forward. At this point, we will also confirm a commencement date for your renovation or build, and ensure all building and certification is approved.

After contracts are signed, you will receive a detailed construction schedule outlining each phase of the build, key milestones, and an estimated practical completion date. This gives you a clear overview of how the project will progress and what to expect along the way.

With everything in place, your renovation or new build is ready to move into the construction phase.
